Five weeks and growing!

5 Weeks Old!

The Hamilton's and Lewis' come to visit Mike's First Father's Day
With Marmie and Poppa
With Auntie E and Uncle Al
Even Jen and Matt came to visit

The past couple of weeks have been busy for us! Mom, Dad, Erica and Alan came to visit us for almost a week, and we had a blast! This was Madeline's first time to meet her uncle Alan, and although he pledged before coming he would not hold her, by the end of the week he was a pro and holding her lots. We also celebrated Mike's first Father's Day. The guys spent the day in Cincinnati at the Red's vs. Red Sox game (that's where Mike got his spiffy hat.) Madeline gave him a bird feeder and lots and lots of bird seed for his present. The rest of the week we spent shopping, celebrating Alan's birthday, eating out, and of course playing lots with Madeline. We are so glad they got to come for such a long visit. After they left on Thursday Jennifer, Matt, and thier neice Bella came and spent Saturday with us. Jen and Matt are so great with children we think they should try out parenthood themselves!!!!!!

At Madeline's one month Drs appointment she weighed in a whopping 9 lbs. I was shocked... she gained 2 pounds in 2 weeks. I guess she's got a good appetite. She is growing and changing almost daily. She smiles and coos now. She can lift up her head for a little while while she's on her tummy and even turn her head from side to side, and she can roll from her tummy to her back. I can't believe 5 weeks have flown by so fast. I am trying to take in each moment of each day knowing that she is growing so quickly. She is an absolute amazing gift from God. He is teaching us so much through her!
